The Alaska governor's office is asking for more time to prepare to release former Gov. Sarah Palin's e-mail archives from her time in office.
Several news organizations including The Associated Press, NBC News and Pro Publica filed freedom of information requests for 25,000 messages that Palin, husband Todd, and her staff exchanged while she was governor. The governor's office has asked that its deadline for the release be extended to May 31, 2011. By then, it will have been 986 days since the request was filed. Palin was in office for 966 days.
