Okay, I'm off to the Magic Kingdom in (checks clock, compares to flight time) 55 hours or so, and can barely keep myself in my seat, here. So... In honor of the trip... What's your favorite Disney movie, and why?

Okay, a little history on this one... Orly Taitz has yet another case before a judge. Again, she wants access to President Obama's records. Birth certificate, passport records, college records, travel records, security clearance records, you name it, she wants it.
I stumbled across this blog while surfing around this morning, and thought I'd share.
Joe "Liar!" Wilson has claimed, attempting to prove that he's for legal immigration:
Great video here I thought I'd share. Well thought-out, well explained, and who doesn't love stick figure animation?
Sarah Palin's political action committee, facing scrutiny from the Federal Election Commission, revealed Monday that it had recently made contributions to a raft of mostly conservative Republicans, including Reps.
Former Gov. Sarah Palin's political action committee gave excessive contributions to two well-known Republicans and also is facing demands from the federal government for more detailed financial information on a number of fronts.
Not quite sure where to put this one, Entertainment or Education. Anyway... This is very neat. The Boston Museum of Science is hosting a Harry Potter exhibit, with props and costumes from all of the movies.
A 1,224-pound triple vanilla cupcake with pink frosting has set a record as the world's largest. The sugary behemoth was unveiled Saturday at the Woodward Dream Cruise classic cars event in Royal Oak, Mich.
This is amazing, had to share... Not going to spoil it, just go look.
Cuba, in the grip of a serious economic crisis, is running short of toilet paper and may not get sufficient supplies until the end of the year, officials with state-run companies said Friday.

The main obstacle standing between Americans and universal healthcare is, of course, the private healthcare industry. The reason the "universal" option disappeared almost immediately from the conversation on the Hill is because Big Health flexed its muscle.
Okay, fess up. Title says it all. Has your favorite changed over the years? Why? Please note, this is a fun article. Attempts to turn the conversation to serious, controversial topics WILL be whacked with the mod-bat.

This one looks like it may have some teeth.
The answers begin to appear.
Gotta love it. Palin supporters pitch a hysterical fit over a joke (made in miserable taste) about her daughter having sex, however, they suggest taking a young father and murdering him, and think THAT is funny. Nice, very nice.
The R.I. chapter of the Tea Party movement has been invited NOT to return to one of the oldest 4th of July celebrations in the nation. Established in 1785, Bristol RI has, according to their website, "the oldest continuous celebration of its kind in the United States."
This should be interesting. The State of Massachusetts has filed a lawsuit challenging the DOMA:
Some readers have asked me to put all the various odd lies of Sarah Palin that the Dish has compiled in one helpful place. So that's what we've done.
A listing of some of the invitees to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, including Hugh Jackman, who did a spectacular (IMHO) job of hosting the 81st ceremony this year.
Interesting article. The children of gay couples, some of whom are adults, now, speak out.

Here's an interesting bit of research... Off the top, this is about as anti-Palin a blog as you're going to find. palingates.com, the name is sort of a clue.
Found this article today.
They are calling it the Manhattan Declaration, a 4,700-word manifesto reaching into scripture and signed by 148 Orthodox, Catholic, and evangelical leaders.
Media Matters has noticed that prominent members of the conservative media sure love using "rape" as a metaphor (note the number of times it's used to accuse progressives of "raping" their fellow Americans): [VIDEO "Why Are So Many Media Conservatives Obsessed With Rape?"]
With Palin, what you see is what you get, and what you see in Going Rogue is a woman who is charming, passionate, loyal and patriotic. She is also self-absorbed beyond political norms, prickly, thin-skinned and just plain whiny. This is what stands out for me.
Sarah Palin picked celebrity interviewers and right-wing pundits for her book promotion tour, probably to avoid embarrassments like last year's Katie Couric interview.

Hey
I just happened to see your post asking where to go to find out what Alaskans think about all this Sarah Palin stuff. Go to Mudflats. It's a GREAT and truthful Alaskan blog that tells a lot about Sarah that the media doesn't report. It's written by an Alaskan. I've been trolling the blog ever since Palin came on the the stage.

rainkiss: Clearly this is my response from the other post...i hope you get my gist... not my attitude towards the other writer
By the way... I have SEEN Joe Biden belittle a woman TV anchor in Florida asking her "who writes her questions" my perception of his tone and the disdain I SAW on his face was that he thought she was unable write her own questions. By the way... my prediction for Vice President was Sarah Palin because of the research i had done! Yes...I am able to do my own research.
By the way... cnn

Gov. Sarah Palin said Friday the project was $329 million short of full funding.
"We will continue to look for options for Ketchikan to allow better access to the island," the Republican governor said. "The concentration is not going to be on a $400 million bridge."
Palin directed state transportation officials to find the most "fiscally responsible" alternative for access to the airport. She said the best option would be to upgrade the ferry system.
this was reported by cnn in 2007 not something re fabricated by the news media today.
Research ... not regurgitation
Also, don't you want to see the receipts for clothes purchased for all the other candidates...I do!

Sorry for the delay approving your comment, Rob, I'm still figuring out how to run the website. I can see your point about voting for a third party, however, I have to say that voting for a third party, when there's such support behind the two existing parties, is, in essence, throwing away your vote. Until there's a third party candidate with enough support behind him or her that there's a chance of taking the election, I figure it's my duty to at least cast my vote for a candidate who's got a chance of winning, and is the one likely to do the least harm.
Honestly, McCain isn't the man he was when he ran years ago. That man would not have tolerated the negative crap that's gone on with this campaign. He has not yet released his full medical records, to my knowledge, and anyone with eyes can see that this campaign has taken a toll on him. Serving as President isn't going to be any more restful. If, God of your choice forbid, he should be unable to complete his term, Palin would be President, which I can only expect to be a disaster.
By all means, cast your vote the way your conscience demands. My own demands that a disaster of the magnitude that putting McCain, with the temper control issues he's displayed, and Palin, with her displayed disregard for the limits on her existing power, ANYWHERE near the White House be prevented. As I see it, voting for a third party candidate with no real chance of winning won't prevent that disaster. Voting for Obama might.
Please, by all means, share your thoughts, that's why at least some of us are here.

Rainkiss the only way we will ever change anything is if we vote for some one other than a Dem or Rep. If we don't it is just more of the same. There comes a time when we as taxpayers have to make a stand, with where our country is today, I would say now is the time. We need a government that actaully upholds the constitution not just the parts they agree with. Go to the following sites if you want more information.
www.constitutionparty.com
www.campaignforliberty.comThese are the grassroots efforts that will actually change the country if we allow it.
